Testimony: When God Feels Silent – Standing on His Promises During Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual warfare does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it is quiet. Sometimes it comes in the form of doubt, discouragement, and waiting. This testimony is about walking through a season where God seemed silent, and learning to stand on His promises during difficult times.

When Doubt Became the Battle

There are seasons when prayers seem unanswered. You continue to believe, but nothing changes. Fear tries to whisper that God has forgotten you. This was one of those seasons. The external world looked normal, but internally there was a struggle. Questions came:

Spiritual warfare often begins in the mind. The battle is not always visible, but it is real.

Holding Onto God's Word

During this season, one verse became an anchor:

Hebrews 13:5 – “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Even when feelings suggested distance, God’s Word declared His presence. This is why Scripture is so powerful in spiritual warfare — it replaces feelings with truth.

Another promise that gave strength:

Isaiah 40:31 – “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.”

Waiting was not weakness. Waiting was part of God’s process.

Faith in the Waiting

Many people search for “faith in difficult times” or “trust God when nothing happens.” This is where faith grows the most — not when everything is easy, but when nothing seems to move.

Romans 8:25 reminds us that if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently.

Faith is trusting God even when the answer has not arrived yet.

Over time, peace began to return. Not because circumstances changed, but because God’s presence became clearer. Prayer became deeper. Scripture became more alive. Hope returned.

Jesus said in John 16:33:

“In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Victory was never based on circumstances — it was based on Christ.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You that You are with us even when we cannot see You working. When fear rises, remind us of Your promises. When doubt speaks, let Your truth be louder. Give us strength to stand firm in faith during difficult times.

Renew our minds, calm our hearts, and help us trust You completely. Teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. Fill us with Your peace that surpasses understanding.

We place every worry, fear, and uncertainty into Your hands. Strengthen us in spiritual warfare and help us overcome through Your power.
