Jesus Appears Behind Locked Doors – Peace in Fear and Spiritual Renewal

After the road to Emmaus, the disciples gathered behind locked doors. Fear filled the room. They were afraid of what might happen next. Even after hearing Mary Magdalene’s testimony and the Emmaus story, uncertainty remained.

Then suddenly, Jesus stood among them.

Peace in the Middle of Fear

John 20:19 – “Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’”

Jesus entered despite the locked doors. Nothing could keep Him out — not fear, not doubt, not uncertainty.

• Fear could not stop Him
• Locked doors could not stop Him
• Doubt could not stop Him
• Jesus brings peace

Jesus Shows His Wounds

Jesus showed His hands and His side. The wounds became proof of victory. What once seemed like defeat now became hope.

Jesus Breathes on Them

John 20:22 – “And with that He breathed on them and said, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’”

Fear turned into courage. Confusion turned into purpose.
